i was also questioning if there were any new female rappers lately. with tink and dej loaf not going anywhere, brooke candy being irrelevant outside of makeup, iggy running back to the land down under, azealia on lock down, and nicki chilling, are there any female rappers who they couldve put on the list

She's been a "freshman" for so many years now. I've literally seen her release music on Soundcloud as an underground artist in 2012/2013 and she's still doing the same thing
The Freshman list is to reward artists who had their breakthrough within the past 12 months. Brooke breakthrough was in 2012/2013 and she hasn't done anything spectacular since, no shade.
Chh like there hasn't been women on the cover before. Brooke Candy is never going to happen and she's just bitter.
How is she bitter. She's speaking the truth. She's not complaining that she isn't on the cover, she's clearly stating that there's a lack of females on the cover...

What's the point of her saying that? Is she saying women need to start rapping?
my point was, are there any new female rappers on the scene?
i obviously was not referring to iggy, nicki etc as freshman but was asking a question: since these women have debuted, have there been any other female rappers to come up
BIA or Dreezy should've made the cover but maybe they turned it down.
People are always outraged that certain artists weren't "chosen" yet those same artists that they think weren't chosen actually turned it down.
Drake and Nicki turned it down some years ago because they wanted them on the cove like a year after they really started popping (and they later got a cover together) and then Tory Lanez turned it down last year I believe.
