Lily Allen Explains Mark Ronson Absence On Second Album
Lily Allen has rubbished speculation that she and producer Mark Ronson have fallen out, insisting that the reason she chose not to work with him on her new album is she wanted a different sound.
Allen and Ronson worked closely together on her debut album 'Alright, Still', but the singer decided against using him on 'It's Not Me, It's You' in a bid not to sound similar to other singers such as Duffy and Amy Winehouse.
When asked by MTV.co.uk if she would work with Mark Ronson again, Allen replied: "Definitely - I just didn't want to do it this time because Mark has a really retro feel to what he is doing."
"I wanted to set myself away from Duffy, Adele and Amy (Winehouse)" Allen explained, "because they are so brilliant at what they do - it would be silly for me to follow them down that route."
Lily's second album 'It's Not Me, It's You' will be released on February 9th. Its first single, "The Fear" already has a music video which you can watch right here:
