I don't think it's "hate" per se, it's just she needs a good, successful single here to bring in the sales for her album and she hasn't had one of those since the Femme Fatale era.
But as people have said already, 8 is still a solid debut for her in comparison to how her own (and other pop girls' tbh) albums go here.
Yeah but now you need like 10k sales to reach #1. Albums chart peaks are much easier.
That's true but I think it's still impressive considering the weight of streaming on that chart nowadays... and looking at her NZ spotify numbers they aren't that impressive so her sales held well considering.
Too bad streaming won't let it go top10.
