Don't worry Adele fans! The Grammy winning artist has said herself that she will be releasing a new song most likely by the end of the year. Rumors are circulating that she may have recorded the theme song for the new James Bond movie. She had previously stated that she will be taking a 5-year break, but now that just seems like a spur of the moment comment. Her new album won't be out so soon, but she hopes it will only take a couple of years. Good news for anyone who can't stop listening to her extremely successful album, "21."
The time period between her previous album and a new release has a lot to do with the fact that she writes her own music; a quality that many (not all, but many) artists today are lacking. "I have to write another record. If I didn't write my own songs, I'd be out next week with a new album. But because I write my own songs I have to take time, and live a little bit. It was a good two years before my first and second albums, so it'll be the same this time," she said in an interview with a French radio station. There is no doubt that whatever she comes out with next, the wait will be well worth it.
She also mentioned in the interview that she wishes she could have done a duet with Etta James, but says that her idol, Beyoncé, is someone she would love to sing with at some point. Someone needs to get in touch with Beyoncé, because a duet between these two powerhouse singers would definitely be something to hear! In the meantime, fans can look forward to Adele's voice on a new track sometime before the end of 2012.
