Thanks guys. <3
Well, I decided to do a Top 20 Music Videos. [I stole the idea from Rafael]. So, that will be done later. Somehow I will do it.
#25 - #21 Albums of 2009
25.) Mandy Moore- Amanda Leigh
She decided to make another turn on her music career, going as far indie as you possibly can. Her first single, "I Could Break Your Heart Any Day of the Week", failed to chart anywhere, and the album sold a soild amount for not having much hype. She co-worte the whole album, and seemed to put more effort in her work. This album is probably her best work so far, I really hope she continues her music career.
Best Songs:
Merrimack River; Fern Dell; Everblue
24.) Yeah Yeah Yeahs- It's Blitz!
Too be honest, I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this album. I loved their first single, "Zero", but second guessed that it wouldn't be good. But, it proved me wrong and was wonderful. I quite enjoyed the change in sound, turning to a more eletronic sound. Anyways, it's great. Done.
Best Songs:
Zero; Heads Will Roll; Soft Shock; Hysteric
23.) The Sounds- Crossing The Rubicon
I was never a fan of The Sounds, never made any effort to listen to their stuff, I knew about them but really didn't care. Until I saw the video for their single, "No One Sleeps Till I'm Awake", and realized it was really good. After buying this album, I put effort into getting their past few albums and became a fan.
Best Songs:
No One Sleeps When I'm Awake; My Lover; Dorchester Hotel; Underground
22.) Alicia Keys- The Element of Freedom
Do I really need to explain why I like her? I'm sure anyone who likes her knows why I do. Now, this album would have been higher, but it's having a hard time to grow on me. The problem I'm having is that her songwriting seems to become pretty basic, not writing outside of the box. But, it's her voice that makes me enjoy this album. Very wonderful.
Best Songs:
Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart; Like The Sea; Put It In A Love Song; Empire State of Mind Part 2
21.) BoA- BoA
I'm shocked how fast she was able to speak and sing in english so fast. She did a great job, but at times I couldn't help but wonder if I was actually listening to Britney Spears. I'm not sure if anyone else can agree. Anyways, the album has some... alright songs, nothing special just something they put on the album and tried to release as singles. Now, this album could have done great, with better singles and promo I would bet that she would be well known. Oh well.
Best Songs:
Eat You Up; Obessed; Touched; Scream
See you next time.
