But I think Arcade Fire's win (and Taylor's last year) proves that NARAS is done with the old fogies and is ready to reward the actual BEST of the year.

The old fogies are probably the ones who voted for Arcade Fire. Where else did their votes come from? I bet Lady A came in second.

I was thinking last night that AF had to win, to salvage the Grammys "reputation" - because anything else would have sunk it. (A mediocre country album, a third/fourth best Eminem album, an EP, and ... Teenage Dream.) If Arcade Fire had been up against ... Janelle/Black Keys/Miranda/Sade or Gaga, the result would have been decidedly different.
