I feel like it celebrated a lot of what we're about accurately. We could have gone down the Empire route and shown how powerful we once were - we didn't. We celebrated our music, we celebrated our literature, our healthcare. And that is what the Olympics is about for me - showcasing the countries history, but also what it is now. There were a lot of quirks - Mr Bean, celebrating the inventor of the World Wide Web... etc
China was just *too* focused on history for me, and a bit too big. Still very good though.
Beijing and London were both different and were great for different reasons. Both x1000 times better than Rio, which can't really compared because of the money involved.
