I loved it to death, I love Mary as well so thats spart of it. I didn't see the old one so I have no idea how it compares though.

The 2011 prequel isn't as good as the 1982 Thing, but the 1982 Thing is one of my all-time favorite movies, so it would have been next to impossible for it to reach those lofty heights. I enjoyed it purely as a stand-alone film, certainly.

And I love Mary as well. If nothing else, I'm learning through this thread that your taste in women is impeccable.

Can't wait to see The Great Discoveries list...it sounds interesting.
