Rihanna Rules Hot 100, Desiigner's 'Panda' Pushes to No. 2 & Justin Bieber Makes History
Quote:
As for more Beatles, Carey and Rihanna: Rihanna has now spent 60 total weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with her 14 leaders, passing the Beatles for the second-most weeks at No. 1 all time. Here is an updated look at the acts that have logged the most time atop the Hot 100 since the chart's 1958 inception:
79 weeks, Mariah Carey
60 weeks, Rihanna
59 weeks, The Beatles
50 weeks, Boyz II Men
47 weeks, Usher
"Work," down 9 percent in overall chart points, narrowly stays atop the Hot 100 over Desiigner's "Panda," which pounces 5-2 (up 27 percent). The rapper's debut hit also takes over atop Streaming Songs (2-1) and the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart (4-1), with 28.5 million overall domestic streams (up 28 percent) and 12.9 million on-demand clicks (up 26 percent) (and with roughly two-thirds of its Hot 100 points from streaming).
Lukas Graham's "7 Years" drops to No. 3 on the Hot 100 after three weeks at its No. 2 high. Meghan Trainor's "No" descends to No. 4 from its No. 3 Hot 100 peak. Zayn's former No. 1-debuting "Pillowtalk" dips 4-5 on the Hot 100, while two tracks reach new peaks: Mike Posner's "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" climbs 8-6, matching the peak of his prior top 10, his debut hit "Cooler Than Me," in 2010, and Fifth Harmony's first top 10, "Work From Home," featuring Ty Dolla $ign, leaps 9-7.
Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" drops 6-8 on the Hot 100 after topping the chart for two (nonconsecutive) weeks. With its latest week in the region, "Love Yourself" breaks the record for the most consecutive weeks logged in the top 10 from a song's debut, passing his two prior singles from his album Purpose, as well as two other tracks.
Here is an updated look at the songs to debut in the Hot 100's top 10 and remain in the tier for the most consecutive weeks:
22 weeks, "Love Yourself," Justin Bieber (2015-16)
21 weeks, "Sorry," Bieber (2015-16)
21 weeks, "What Do You Mean?," Bieber (2015-16)
21 weeks, "Sugar," Maroon 5 (2015)
21 weeks, "Starships," Nicki Minaj (2012)
Rounding out the Hot 100's top 10, DNCE's debut single "Cake by the Ocean" returns to the bracket and its peak (12-9); and G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha's "Me, Myself & I" holds at No. 10 after hitting No. 7. Beyond the Hot 100's top 10, and as he stays atop the chart thanks to his featured role on "Work," Drake jumps 21-13 in his second week with "One Dance," featuring WizKid and Kyla. The track roars 4-1 on Digital Songs (119,000, up 14 percent), becoming Drake's seventh leader on the list, and dethrones his own "Pop Style," featuring The Throne (a.k.a. Jay Z and Kanye West) (1-5; 85,000, down 34 percent).

The Lumineers Score Their First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart
Quote:
The Lumineers nab their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Cleopatra. The set starts atop the chart with 125,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 14, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 108,000 were in traditional album sales. It follows the trio’s breakthrough self-titled debut album, which was released in 2012 and rose to No. 2 on the chart the following year. It has sold 1.7 million copies, thanks in large part to the popularity of its hit song "Ho Hey." The track peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Chris Stapleton’s Traveller dips 2-3 with 48,000 units (down 34 percent), while Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo descends 1-4 with 47,000 units (down 50 percent). The album fell 95 percent in traditional album sales, falling from a 28,000 start to a little more than 1,000 copies sold. (Much of its first week sales were bolstered by pre-orders not delivered until after the album saw a wide release on April 1. Those pre-orders were sold as part of a ticket/album bundle to his Yeezy 3 fashion show held at Madison Square Garden and screened via a live stream in movie theaters. The remaining sales were from Tidal and West’s official website.)
Rihanna’s Anti climbs one rung to No. 5 (44,000 units; down 9 percent), Justin Bieber’s Purpose rises 8-6 (38,000 units; down 10 percent) and Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface bolts 10-7 (33,000 units; up 11 percent).
Zayn’s Mind of Mine slips 7-8 (31,000 units; down 30 percent), Adele’s 25 is steady at No. 9 (30,000 units; down 17 percent) and Lukas Graham’s self-titled effort slides 3-10 (27,000 units; down 55 percent).

I'm perfectly fine with Kanye being this high cause I think streams are very important nowadays, but it's funny some ATRLers don't care when it's top5 with less than 1k sold.
btw I listened The Lumineers' album and I loved it.
