Korean Charts: SNSD top 2NE1 for #1
Single Sales chart:
01 (NE) 309,297 Mr. Mr - Girls' Generation
02 (NE) 276,288 Come Back Home - 2NE1
And all the album tracks from both albums chart in the top 200 naturally.

Album Chart:
01 (NE) 87,824 The 4th Mini Album - Girls' Generation

Great week for both groups. Korea finally had their own Gaga vs. Katy moment on the charts.

Didn't 2NE1 release 2/3 days later? It's kinda shocking SNSD sold only 30K more.

EXACTLY. Lol
they released like 3 days later. Had they released same day 2NE1 would slay them..which they are currently doing on the charts.

Gaon Chart is Sunday to Saturday
SNSD released on Monday (6 days to chart)
2NE1 released on Thursday (3 days to chart)
I think 2NE1 won this battle.
2NE1 also do better in the USA:
#61 on Billboard 200 for 2NE1 vs #110 for SNSD even though SNSD have more days to chart on Billboard 200.
