Finally someone making a thread about this, i'll post my collection in a bit.
My collection includes Marvel Cinematic Universe, a lot of super-hero movies like Dark Knight trilogy. A lot of sets (Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bourne, Resident Evil, Lord of the Rings, Hunger Games), movies i love and TV shows (Game Of Thrones, Walking Dead, Orange is the new Black, Breaking Bad, Lost, Agents of SHIELD, Bates Motel)
I'm extra late, but I finally made the jump to Blu-ray last year with the Halloween boxset. My collection's growing, but it'll take a minute to catch up to my DVDs.

I didn't think anyone here used that. I've only seen it used by members of some horror forums I used to use.
I don't know if I'd consider myself a "collector" in the sense that I need everything, all versions, etc. But I definitely still go out and buy physical copies of movies. I'm always on the forums on blu-ray.com and I'm always expanding my collection, especially with movies that I know I really want/will watch again.
Probably the biggest thing for me is slipcovers. I'm obsessed with them and will sometimes gauge my purchases based on that. I bought The Shallows solely for its lenticular slip. I'd just love all blu-rays to come with slipcovers.
There's nothing like a physical copy of a movie, in my opinion. (Same goes with albums/vinyls). But streaming can never take away the joy of buying a movie that you love...the slipcover, the artwork, the discs. I love it. Happy to see other people on here are fans of buying movies too, as now all my friends find it strange. Even my friends who love movies and were film majors with me think it's dumb to purchase a physical copy nowadays.

I used to be obssesed about slipcovers. Like i had a collection and if i missed one it would drive me crazy
As far as box sets go, I do have the 15-disc Halloween box set, the 31-disc Harry Potter collection and the Friday the 13th collection. I really love those...particularly the Halloween set.
