Thank you. I may not be a huge fan of Taylor Swift, so I hope no one crucifies me for this, but in all honesty, Taylor Swift is not a country singer. She's a country- pop singer, more easily referred to as a pop singer with a strong country influence, actually.

I really like taylor, but i have to agree with this. Half of the songs on the speak now album are POP songs with no trace of country in them AT ALL. She's like a modern day shania, but shania was a bit more country. The only real country song on the album is mean.
And i dont really hear any country instruments in Love story tbh.

Being one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans here I would like to point out that I have already agreed.
Taylor Swift was pretty much all country.
Fearless was 50/50
Speak Now has 1 country song.
She is a crossover artist indeed but at this stage she shouldn't be up for country awards or on the country charts, playing the acoustic guitar, wearing cowboy boots and living in Nashville doesn't make you a country artist.

I wonder how much Faith Hill and Shania Twain would sell if "Breathe" and "You're Still The One" were released in the digital era...

+ "How Do I Live" by Leann Rimes, which held the record for longest run on the Hot 100 before "I'm Yours" came along.

6x platinum each one!?
These songs (except NYN) cannot be compared to the masterpieces "How Do I Live", "Breathe" & "You're Still The One".
