Let's collect a list of singles that were once planned, but were later cancelled for some reason.

Lady Gaga
Starstruck - slated as a single from "The Fame" but they went ahead with "The Fame Monster"
Scheisse - slated as the fifth single from "Born This Way" but "Marry The Night" was favored instead
Venus - initially planned as the second single from "ARTPOP" but "Do What U Want" was favored

Kesha
Kiss N Tell - was up against "Take It Off" for fourth single from "Animal" and lost
Sleazy - was planned to be the third single from "Cannibal" but it never materialized fully
Supernatural - confirmed by Dr. Luke to be a single from "Warrior" - never happened

Beyonce
Grown Woman - planned as the debut single from "Beyonce" but was scrapped
Blow - planned as dual-release with "Drunk In Love" but "XO" was favored; might be future single

Nicki Minaj
Marilyn Monroe - planned as a single from "PF:RR" but never came to fruition
Whip It - confirmed as a future single from "PF:RR" by Nicki over Twitter; never happened
