Yes, and it's because from the get-go she was a great performer. Her live vocals are her strength, and the costumes/sets/dancers/complicated choreography makes for an absolutely astounding show. She puts so much effort into her craft, queen and legend and icon.

But Janet didn't tour for her debut album. Infact when she went on tour for Rhythm Nation she was quite established.
