So I gave these albums an actual shot but my perception could not meet the actual talent that was presented.
31. LCD Soundsystem - This is Happening
Dance Yrself Clean was a great introduction. I also loved the videos.
32. Devo - Something for Everybody
There really is something for everybody! A great album that did not get heard as much as it should have.
33. The Bird and the Bee - Interpreting the Masters
I really like their interpretation... because I really like their style. My favorite was Rich Girl probably.
34. Apples in Stereo - Travellers in Space and Time
They probably were the least space/time-y sounding on my list. They're usually mellow fun.
35. The Like - Release Me
I really like The Like and their older sound. I was fairly content with their album but wish I heard it sooner.
36. Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite
You can never go wrong with Kylie but I felt like she could do a lot better.
37. Kate Nash - My Best Friend is You
Another great album that was slightly disappointing in comparison.
38. Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles II
Apparently I had very high expectations for second albums this year.
39. Vampire Weekend - Contra
How else could I be so disappointed when comparing?
40. Lali Puna - Our Inventions
It could just be that comparing is a bad idea in general.
