However there's a few hip hop albums that give it a run for it's money.

I agree, which is why I emphasized "pop" specifically. Comparing it to MBDTF or Kendrick's album is a whole other beast to tackle.

Anti, Beauty Behind The Madness, Honeymoon, Art Angels, Emotion, 25, Queen of the Clouds, In The Lonely Hour, The Inevitable End, In Return, No Mythologies To Follow, I Never Learn, Ultraviolence, Tough Love, Wanted on Voyage, LP1, Sucker, Goddess, Bangerz, Pure Heroine, The 20/20 Experience, Exile, Unapologetic, Born To Die, Visions, +, Talk That Talk, 21, Body Talk, LOUD, Pink Friday, Happiness and The Beginning were all much, much better albums than Lemonade and most of them are pop.
