BLIND AUDITIONS
-Less contestants this time around.
-More blind auditions. The Voice is now airing Monday and Tuesday during the Blind Auditions.
-Audience will be more "invested in fewer singers".
The coaches will perform a Rolling Stone song on the first or second episode of The Voice.
THE BATTLE ROUNDS
In the second stage, called the battle rounds, coaches have two of their team members battle against each other directly by singing the same song together, with the coach choosing which team member to advance from each of individual "battles" into the first live round. In the new format, the remaining three coaches are allowed to "steal" the contestant who loses a battle. Each coach can steal up to three contestants.
Each coach will have one mentor with them to help their team and to prepare the two contestants that will be competing against each other in the Battle Rounds.
MENTORS
Team Adam - Mary J. Blige
Team Cee-Lo - Rob Thomas
Team Blake - Michael Buble
Team Xtina - Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day
LIVE PERFORMANCES
-Expect an increased number of performances from individual contestants by the time they get to the finale.
*I'll try updating the post with pictures/videos as they come in.
I'm really excited about this season.
It will be spectacular.
I feel like they will FINALLY produce a star!
+1
The people that choose who will go audition for the coaches are gonna raise the bar to get better talent and there are gonna be less contestants so the audience can focus on a contestant better. This is such an improvement because last season they had too many contestants and you couldn't really focus on anyone.
EDIT: Right now it seems like Chris Mann might be a star. Classical music has very devoted fans and he is even releasing a Christmas album which are always successful.
Anybody else think the mentors look like each coach picked one person to work with and then they jumbled them all up?? Like I expected Mary J. to be working with Cee-Lo, etc.
All of these changes are for the better. I'm glad there are less contestants and more live shows.

The producers cast the guests and then they choose which coach they want to assist.
Check the first post! It has the twist and it's a really interesting one.

I know what you mean
According to one of the mentors, the producers picked the mentors and then the mentors picked who they wanted to work with. Mary J. Blige probably wanted to work with Adam since they've worked together before.

this sounds exciting
I hope it can maintain the ratings
since The Battle Rounds... you know mostly boring...
