Introduction

I have decided to revive my countdown that has been dead for a year and a half already. I'll start out with a long list of videos, not all of which will see the light of day on my countdown. Some videos may even be #1 hogs like the Linkin Park's "In The End," Bad Religion's "Los Angeles Is Burning," or Infected Mushroom's "Cities of the Future," but I doubt any video can pull a "Sk8er Boi" in this climate. Here is the official voting list for my countdown which will start today:

AFI - "Miss Murder" [This is pretty old by now, but I'll premeriere "Love Like Winter" when this retires or the video comes out, whichever comes later.]
Aly & AJ - "Chemicals React" [Who knows why I like it, but the video caught my eye. This one is for Mike.]
Beyonce - "Ring The Alarm" [Beyonce's debut video on my countdown. Good to dance to.]
Cascada - "Everytime We Touch" [Trance pop at its finest. I don't care if it's nearly a year old already.]
Cobra Starship - "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" [Bar none, this is my favorite song on the playlist. But they will have some competition from Red Hot Chili Peppers and others.]
Danity Kane - "Show Stopper" [Will Danity Kane find a place on my countdown? One thing the video has is five beautiful girls.]
Disturbed - "Land of Confusion" [A song with a social commentary and a cool animated video.]
Evanescence - "Call Me When You're Sober" [An Evanescence song that doesn't sound like "Everybody's Fool" or "Bring Me To Life." This song should retire in a reasonable amount of time.]
Fergie - "London Bridge" [The only rap video on my playlist, if you can call her vocal performance rapping.]
Gnarls Barkley - "Crazy" [A symmetrical video to go along with a soul track with a danceable tempo.]
Hilary Duff - "Play With Fire" [Hilary makes my playlist yet again with this video. She shows her edgy side in this video starring just herself.]
Jessica Simpson - "A Public Affair" [This roller skate party looks like fun. But can Jessica compete with the big boys on my countdown?]
Justin Timberlake - "SexyBack" [Before he did this song, I wouldn't even touch Justin Timberlake. Now, I'm going to give him a chance to "get his sexy on" on my countdown.]
Nelly Furtado - "Maneater" [I haven't seen the video yet, but I will as soon as it's premiered on TRL.]
Paris Hilton - "Stars are Blind" [A cute love song to chill to on a hot summer day at the beach.]
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Tell Me Baby" [A cool video where Anthony Kedis and the crew go crazy in the recording studio with a bunch of fans. How many days will this video be on top?]
The All-American Rejects - "It Ends Tonight" [Sit back and watch the firework show as these countdown veterans perform.]
The Killers - "When You Were Young" [If only this were "All These Things That I Have Done." That video kicked ass. This video seems boring by comparison, but the song is growing on me.]
VNV Nation - "Homeward" [No video AFAIK, but it's from my favorite electronic music group. I liked "Chrome" better, but that was the first single off the album.]
Weird Al Yankovic - "Don't Download This Song" [Don't end up like the boy in the cartoon video by sharing RIAA songs.]

Feel free to vote, but don't expect it to have too much effect near the top of the countdown. This is my personal countdown. Why else would it have artists like Cobra Starship and VNV Nation? Perhaps twenty songs are too many to consider, but if the count drops below seventeen, I feel like I'm too limited in choices. But with twenty songs, I can pull a total replacement of the top ten videos. I may do it after the first couple videos retire. If you decide to vote for a song not on this playlist, be sure it has a video. If I haven't seen it yet, I'll take a look. I'll add videos to my playlist at my discression.

One more note, certain videos may be in the top five one day and out the next day. Consecutive runs don't matter much to me anymore except for videos I really like.

Welcome back to Ike Bart's countdown that has been around since October 26, 2001. Technically, this is the 34th wave, but it will be 35 days before anything retires. This wave, like all others waves before it, is 27 days long. Since this is the very first countdown with all new videos, every video in the top ten is a debut. Just because some videos didn't make it today doesn't mean I don't like them. It's just that my top ten countdown is too crowded as it is.
