I don't know if it was a smash,but Muse - Uprising. I swear i heard that everyday,every****ingday for 2 months straight whether it was a commerical,tha video,or Music Choice to tha point where i had no choice but to buy it on iTunes.

Billie Jean is a much better song, but I'd say Thriller is more famous, if only because of the dance. They're both really iconic though so I guess it's hard to choose.
