No standing O for Adele tonight, both the performance and the win. These people

Adele's performance was so mediocre. Her vocals were quite weak and trembly, except for the belting climax. She can't *perform* a song either. No sense of drama or emotion whatsoever. Dame Shirley and Barbra Streisand really showed why they are the legends they are. Adele just isn't in that league at all.

It was a good performance. She was clearly a bit nervous tonight but she nailed it at the end. Also one should note that Skyfall is not a song where she displays her true talents. The only part where she gets to display her full talent is at the end of Skyfall, which she did. Anyways no current pop artist today can be considered a legend because they are still TODAYS pop artists. Anyways Adele is one of the few pop artists today who will most likely become a legend in the future. Are you done bashing Adele yet?

Uh...a truly brilliant singer can sing ALL parts of a song, not just the end.

A truly brilliant singer can also PERFORM the song and invest it with emotion, like the truly brilliant singers showed.

I like Adele, but she is not a great performer and not really a great singer either. And don't give me the whole "nerves" thing. You can't be a performer at her level and allow nerves to be an excuse.

It simply wasn't very good. Deal with it.
