i dont like the idea of two doods/girls getting married basically for the same reason she said. but at the same time i dont have a problem with it unless you make me not approving of it a problem. watch this be all over everything by tommorrow label and a scandal and controversy when in reality its not at all. why does /everyone/ to approve of gays getting married? why cant people speak their minds anymore without causing a "scandal"? i repect her for doing so thought. how far did she get? it pisses me off when a "homophobe" speaks their mind and the people their referring(i hate using the word "gays") act like its world war 3. the sooner gay people get over the fact that not everyone would respect their lifestyle the better we'll all be.

The sad reality is that many people will always "disapprove" of gay people. There are millions of folks out there right now who still "disapprove" of black people, or of interracial marriage, or of women having equal rights. Most of them don't speak up because it's no longer considered "OK" to say that. One day, it'll be the same regarding gay people.
As long as we live, lots of people will be homophobic (and racist, sexist, xenophobic, and otherwise prejudiced against others), which is too bad, but unfortunately, that's just how a lot of people are raised. They should get over themselves and realize other types of people deserve the same treatment across the board, but they probably never will.
But for the rest of us, can we stop using the word lifestyle? That is so '80s. Being gay or straight is an orientation. When people use the word lifestyle, they are almost always trying to insist that gay people could choose otherwise... and to insist that is so EXTREMELY dumb I refuse to debate that with anyone.
