Rihanna claims fifth UK No. 1 single
Rihanna has notched up the fifth UK number one single of her career with 'What's My Name?'
The Barbadian singer has become the first female artist in history to achieve five number ones in consecutive years, starting with mammoth hit 'Umbrella' in 2007. The only other performer to have achieved this feat is the legendary Elvis Presley, who scored a number one in every year from 1959 to 1963.

Weird how in the U.S., Rih has 6 more #1's than Gaga, but in the U.K., she just now got 1 more than Gaga (Gaga has 4 #1's in the UK; Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Telephone).
Sigh, I wish the U.S. appreciated Gaga as much as the Brits.....

While I'm no gaga stan let's not forget who has been destroying the US charts with both her fame and fame monster albums...I may not be a stan, but i'm not ignorant either. Gaga is immensely relevant in the states...she's just had a lil bit of bad luck in terms of the hot 100 (well at least in terms of bad romance)

I'm sorry but to be completely honest, it is easier to hit #1 in the UK than in the US so props to Rihsus for having 9 #1s in such a small period of time, i dont care about the UK singles chart because its not really that hard to hit #1.

Yeah, there's no denying that she's massively successful and the single biggest popstar in the U.S. and the world right now, but it still irritates me how she only has only two #1's on the Hot 100 while gurls like Rih and Katy are racking in way more than her... oh, if only Tik Tok had waited just ONE week before smashing and allowed Bad Romance to go #1.. for just one week..

And Rihanna got tons of number 2 hits which should all have been no.1. Rihanna was just so unlucky the time her singles were released. If all her no.2 were no.1, she would have had 12 no.1 singles in UK.
Plus, her number twos is massive. Rude Boy and Love The Way You Lie were all number two, and Telephone was no.1 but they eventually sold more than Telephone .

2007 - Umbrella
2008 - Take A Bow
2009 - ??????????????????????????????????? Run This Town ????????????????????????
2010 - Only Girl (In The World)
2011 - What's My Name?
Run This Town isn't a Rihanna single, it's Jay-Z's... Just sayin'
