But you're still going by the Americas being one landmass. Europe and Asia are bound together by FAR more land than North and south America. Panama is literally a sliver in comparison. You could separate Africa, but it too is connected by a similar sliver. So AfroEurAsia makes perfect sense, if you get to lump the two huge American continents into one. Central America is also part of North America, just like Europe is a subdivision of Eurasia. And Sharing a name isn't a good enough reason to just lump both landmasses together.
