Dislike. She comes off as fake.

I mean, staging pics for the tabloids with a new man all the time? Tragic.

I actually love how calculating she is. I think it's been one of the main reasons she's managed to remain so successful, because she knows every step she's going to make before she makes them. It also lends itself very well into her catalog, because she weaves her albums from one to the next progressively in sound and maturity.

All in all, I think it's a good thing to make sure your public persona and image is well put together. It may seem as though she's too saccharine or plastic at times, but it keeps her in a healthy spot.

I only dislike that she's a bit hypocritical (she's quick to chastise when she feels wronged, but reluctant to admit fault when she's the wrong one) - it's an adolescent tinge in her persona that she should have outgrown by now, especially since she's been called out for it more than a few times.

Sure she controls the narrative much of the time and some of her 'candid' photos are staged af, but I think if you're someone like me who watches all her interviews and has been following her career for years, you know the genuine girl beneath the constructed image. In fact, just listening to all her albums enough gives you access to that. I think given the unhealthy obsession people have with celebrities, it's perfectly fine/smart for her to be in control of an image, but that doesn't necessarily obscure reality for the fans who care enough to see beyond the facade.
