They talked about this on The Breakfast Show on Radio 1 yesterday. They mentioned that she reacted like this towards Ryan, but when asked the same thing on Ellen later that same day, she basically confirmed it with no issue. (Haven't seen the Ellen interview, though)

Nick also said that the last time Ariana was doing an interview at Radio 1, there was an unpleasant vibe coming from her.

She was kind of uncomfortable talking about it on Ellen, too.
