I want to begin saying this blog will show the most recent news about my favorite (mainstream) bands -albums, videos, pics and anything in general. Thanks please enjoy it.

I will started it with The Fountains of Wayne.

They are power pop band by excellence, count with millions of fans around the world (Elthon John and Stephen kings are the most famous). Their music sounds a lot like mid-'60s pop rock (Beatles/Beach Boys influenced), songs like "Radiation Vibe" and "Hey Julie", for example, are pop rock classics.

Fountains Of Wayne will release their fourth studio record, Traffic And Weather, on April 3.It is the band's first album since Welcome Interstate Managers, which featured the hit single "Stacy's Mom." The lead single, "Someone To Love," will arrive at radio next month and band co-founder Adam Schlesinger tells Billboard the tune is "a little bit 'Eleanor Rigby'-esque, in that it's about these two lonely people living in New York. It has a disco-y beat, which is something we don't do a lot of. Melissa Auf der Maur sings backing vocals, and that's the first female vocal we've had since Dominique Durand from Ivy on the first album."

Other new tunes include "92 Subaru," "Yolanda Hayes" and "Fire In The Canyon," which features a vocal cameo from Mike Viola, who sang the Schlesinger-penned theme song to 1996's That Thing You Do. FoW will play the Coachella and Bonnaroo festivals this year, with a tour pending somewhere in between the two festivals. Schlesinger has kept busy with a number of other projects lately, including co-producing the new album by the band America and writing songs for the new Drew Barrymore/Hugh Grant comedy Music And Lyrics.

'OPEN YOUR EYES' ANNOUNCED AS THE NEW UK SINGLE!

The fourth single to be lifted from the million selling album ‘Eyes Open’, will be the stunning Open Your Eyes.
The track which featured in the final episode of last seasons ER, will be released in the UK & Ireland on February 12th. The band are filming the video for the promo this week, we will be announcing details of the video and its exclusive airing in the coming weeks.

I heard the song "Alfie" 9 months ago (in the out of order show) and I told myself this gonna be a hit. Now Smile is her first US single. I'm glad to see on TRL.
