JT”s top 10 Hot 100 singles
Justin Timberlake's Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 Singles
There has been wildly mixed reactions to Justin Timberlake's new "Suit and Tie" single from his forthcoming album, "The 20/20 Experience." Some love his chic R&B return, along with its assist from rap icon Jay-Z. But others certainly were expecting a bit more than a club song from JT.
While that debate continues, there's one statement that cannot be contested: Justin Timberlake's got hits -- plenty of them. Take a look at his top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hits (including the ones earned as one-fifth of *NSNYC).
Rank, Title (Artist Listing), Hot 100 Peak Position, Peak Date
1, "SexyBack," Justin Timberlake, No. 1 (seven weeks), Sept. 9, 2006
The odd yet funky debut single from Justin's "FutureSex/LoveSounds" album was ahead of his time with its European club feel. Coincidentally, it also led the way on the charts.
2, "My Love," Justin Timberlake featuring T.I., No. 1 (three weeks), Nov. 11, 2006
The second single from JT's sophomore album was a classic Timberlake mash-up of hip-hop and R&B, pairing his silky vocals to a lady with rapper T.I.'s southern charm.
3, "Dead and Gone," T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake, No. 2, Feb. 28, 2009
Timberlake returned the favor T.I. gave him on "My Love" and offered up his services on the major hook on the rapper's 2008 "Paper Trail" album.
4, "It's Gonna Be Me," *NSYNC, No. 1 (two weeks), July 29, 2000
With Justin leading the way on their 2000 album "No Strings Attached," the boys of 'NSYNC told their ladies that they were much better than any guys they've dated in the past.
5, "Bye Bye Bye," *NSYNC, No. 4, April 15, 2000
After realizing their girls weren't holding up their ends of the bargain in their relationships, *NSYNC decided to call it quits here.
6, "What Goes Around...Comes Around," Justin Timberlake, No. 1 (one week), March 3, 2007
This single from his "FutureSex" album confirmed to old adage that karma's one unforgiving witch.
7, "This I Promise You," *NSYNC, No. 5, Dec. 2, 2000
On this honeyed ballad, *NSYNC assures their loves that they'll be there for them in the long haul.
8, "4 Minutes," Madonna featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, No. 3, April 12, 2008
Over producer Timbaland's pulsing horns and jumping drums, Justin joins Madonna on an urgent adventure to save the world on her sweet 2008 album, "Hard Candy."
9, "Give It to Me," Timbaland featuring Nelly Furtado & Justin Timberlake, No. 1 (two weeks), April 21, 2007
Justin joined frequent collaborator Timbaland for some melodic rapping on the producer's 2007 compilation album, "Shock Therapy."
10, "Cry Me a River," Justin Timberlake, No. 3, Feb. 3, 2003
Not too far removed from a breakup with Britney Spears, Justin released this venomous kiss off to his ex as the second single from his 2002 debut solo album, "Justified."

They don't want an R&B song doing well in the charts basically. If he'd released something like Pound the Alarm everybody would be cheering him on right now.

I thought songs as a member of a group didn't count towards an individual's chart statistics a la Beyoncé?

Hoping for this song to go #1.
