Because no year end list is complete without QOP/J/I (Queen of pop/japan/indie). This generations "I Will Always Love You". A simple cover with a magnificent vocal performance that elevates it to newfound classic territory. Although IWALY is terrible and this track is fantastic. It questions the meaning of life, ones self worth, and perspective. A hymn for the generations
Depeche Mode's comeback was some kind of non-event, the album was okay~. This track is Depeche Mode by the numbers, somber lyrics, top notch production and Dave's signature vocal style. It's actually alot like "Precious" but with the lyrics being the opposite. Solid track anyways
28. Hold On, We're Going Home - Drake f/ Majid Jordan
Much like the above track, drake plays much to his niche. But hey, if the track is solid why not. Taylor made to suit the tumblr generation along with the GP, smacked together with his dreamy vocals and easy to digest lyrics, it's a great pop song without trying to hard or being too formulaic
This album was just awesome, very funny and its kind of like a futuristic dancehall edm mesh of many of our favorite indie acts. Peaches shines like gold **** in this highlight. who wouldnt want to bang on her ovaries like a Piñata?
The inner campy homo in me lives. yea this could be sung by microsoft sam and have equal effect but who cares. its fun, gay and britney's best lead single.. to her worst album ever but still. Werk
The albums biggest (non single ) highlight. it's so smooth, with fantastic lyrics. It's striking melody is what wins me over, how can you not hum along to it?
