It's time for me to start doing my year end countdown of my 150 favorite singles from 2008 (or late 2007). Starting Wednesday, I will post 10 songs everyday, leading up the the #1 song that will be posted on Dec. 31st. Along with those songs I will be posting songs that just missed the countdown. I currently sit here with a list of over 200 songs that charted, but by tomorrow I will have narrowed it down to 150 songs. The chart is calculated based on my weekly countdown and current likeness towards the song. I do not see the whole chart ahead of time, as I too like to be surprised. If you know me, you know that I will listen to anything, no matter what genre, so don't be suprised on what pops up on the countdown. Before we start, let's look back at last year's top 20 songs.

Let me explain how the chart was calculated. 50% comes from how well the song did on my Weekly Top 40 chart. You can see how well it did with the weeks and peaks provided. Note: I only calculate the song's performance in 2008, but include its full stats if it charted in 2007. The other 50% comes from a final chart I compiled a few days ago that includes all the songs, whether they charted or not. What can influence a song's position on that chart is whether a song was overplayed, how much I like a certain song NOW, etc. You can see where it ranked on that chart too. Here we go! I will also include 2 songs that didn't make it into the top 150 every update.
