(damn Samsung as a whole bringing Android down)
meh, I was going to abolish you but your HTC reference makes me have bias in your logic.

I have used stock Android before and it's fast but it still lags slightly. It feels like it's never runs as fast as it should. I feel like when I press something it should happen as soon as I touch the screen. With stock Android still, it feels like I have to wait for a response (a flash of the icon or menu selection) before my touch is considered a press. On ios, by the time I've pressed it it's already open. It's not a slow OS, it just feels like it could be more fluid.
Edit: meant response not noise
The HTC and the Amazon launchers don't have this feel, and they flow really well. Samsung are probably the biggest example of what I'm trying to say though (having to wait for the water drop sound before you request gets processed) but stock android does the same thing too, just not as dramatic and not as slow.
This is probably an
example of what I mean . This guy presses something and it highlights before it opens what he presses. I think with the speed of phones today, it should be as soon as he presses it, it's instant.
It affects more phones than it does others, but if they remove the problem altogether and make it more fluid to begin with, less chance of it happening overall.
It's not really a problem, it's just nitpicking since I notice it more than because I'm used to ios.
Saying that though, Samsung devices have this effect way more, so if anything, Samsung need to get their **** together first,
My note 2 and tab 2 suffer from that water drop 2 second wait for something to open mess way to much.
