1) For this countdown, I have analyzed 20 different countries. I would love to have included more, but a lot of countries are only starting to develop their own chart system recently
2) If a song peaked at #1 in a country, it will gain 2 points. If a song peaked from #2-#5, it will get one point. If a song peaked from #6-10, it will get half a point. I add
3) All of ATRL's main faves are included! Even if their song really shouldn't rank in this countdown!
4) For an artist to have an additional entry, their song needs to have garnered 30 points with my point system.

I have all the stats for the longevity but the thing is... I have noticed that recent songs tend to have more longevity than songs from 2003-2007. For example, Starships has spent 500+ weeks on 20 different charts worldwide; about the same amount as Madonna's Hung Up and Britney's Toxic. So that's why I left longevity out.
