Alrighttt let's look at 50-41..
Hawthorne Heights - Saying Sorry
-- Yup that's right kids.. it's everyone's favorite band. Haha that's quite the lie, but I really liked them this year. This song was pretty catchy at first. I was listening to their CD constantly in the beginning of the year until I got sick of it. They actually have a few really good songs even though I'm sure no one will believe me. Anyways.. this song would be higher if it weren't for the fear of being verbally assaulted by some members here..
Gorillaz - DARE
-- This song has some weird techno-like beat that I love. I liked Feel Good Inc. more, but still, this song made my top 50.
The All-American Rejects - It Ends Tonight
-- I was obsessed with this song for about a week until it got old. The same thing happened with Move Along, but the difference is that this song made the top 60. I miss their old stuff, but this one was alright.
Meg and Dia - Monster
-- I think it was like 6 in the morning when I was getting ready for school, and this came on MTV. It really sounded like Flyleaf at first, but I didn't have enough time to find out who they were. It came on again a few days later and I proceeded to download the song (still haven't gotten a good quality mp3 of it >:O). I guess this could be considered a guilty pleasure since I guess they are really a girly pop band, but the rock version of this song is pretty good.
Straylight Run - Hands in the Sky (Big Shot)
-- I was really obsessed with this one awhile back. I got to see them in concert, but my annoying ass friends didn't want to stay long enough for me to hear this song.. f.ckers. But anyways.. I still don't really understand the first 2 minutes of the song, but the second half makes up for it. If it weren't for the weird beginning, it would be much higher on the list.
OK Go - Here it Goes Again
-- So they really only got noticed because of their awesome video, but the song was decent for me as well. Didn't really play this one too much, but I still like listening to it whenever it comes on the radio.
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me Baby
-- They had quite the year in 2006. This song was alright.. for me it's like an average RHCP song. But still, it's good enough to make the top 50.
Blue October - Into the Ocean
-- I will admit that when I first heard this song, I hated it. But when I saw the video for it, I randomly liked it for some reason. And then I heard it on the radio a few days ago, and I was really getting into it.. haha. But yeah, this song was better than I thought, and actually makes my top 50.
10 Years - Waking Up
-- It's too bad that this song flopped hardcore. Their album is so good, but I think they are gonna be a one hit wonder with "Wasteland." I never even heard this on the radio, but it did get released as a single. Would be higher if it actually was a hit..
Beyonce - Ring the Alarm
-- Please pardon the pun, but I feel like I'm having deja vu with Beyonce. I really thought I was done with her after my weird music transition that I had. For those that don't know, I was pretty obsessed with Destiny's Child and Beyonce for a good 3 years on PF. I finally got over that stage, but this song brought me back to it. I don't know what it is about this song, but the beat is so damn catchy. And an even bigger surprise.. she's somewhere higher on my countdown again.. wow what is happening to me.
