When it looks and feels derivative, then yes.

In all honesty the hip hop community took cryptic, minimalist imagery and ran with it. The idea could have worked once in a while but the concept has been abused and watered down, and now it just looks like they're all copying each other or trying so hard to perpetuate bull**** Illuminati myths. I don't think it's a statement anymore, it's a tired trend. And fashion designers and labels (Givenchy I'm lookin at you sis) racing after this trend and catering to it makes it worse.

But I'm fine with Bey and Azealia Banks their covers tho
