On 12/31 and 1/1 stations play a lot of year-end music and other non regular programming. Yesterday and today these days moved out of the 7-day total so that's why the updates were so good.

Another reason is that during the freeze the playlists do not change, but now that all the stations are back from vacation they all change their playlists at the same time, resulting in bigger movement than usual.
