This means that Christina now has the record for the largest drop from #1 of all time Last week she set the record for the lowest sales of an album debuting at #1 when she sold just 24k to get her #1 position.
& next week? She has the opportunity to set yet another record as if she falls out of the top 40 then her 2 weeks on the chart will be the shortest stay on the chart for a #1 album of all time.
I'm on the fence with this one. I try not to be biased when it comes to an artist by showing too much devotion or hate. However, I wonder if this is all an act of karma coming back to hit Christina in the face. I really like Bionic, though; I've been spinning it several times a day. It's one of the best albums I've heard this year, but I feel a sense of satisfaction that Christina's negative energy has come back to haunt her.
This era is not a good one for her. I thought she would have fared better in the UK. Damn. I wouldn't be surprised if the Grammys and other award shows snub her.
