Azealia Banks Reads Lil Kim In New Interview
Speaking to Women Of Hip Hop, Azealia revealed:
I just wish she would just hurry up and be legendary again…She’s better then pay pal mixtapes and useless press.
“Lol she’s still retweeting ******** about Summer Jam. I had nothing but honest and positive intentions when I approached her. Her and her team were nothing but confusing and shady. THEY released a press release about “beef”..Not Me..It’s just weird cuz she tried to pin me up against the wall when all I did was reach out and try to work.
So now..it’s all a big Joke. It’s a big kiki because all she does is hate on other females to excuse her lack of productivity.
I wasn’t even supposed to come out with Nicki Minaj (at Summerjam 2012). It was a rumor.
Lil’ Kim isn’t even the fly innovator she used to be…let alone even half the artist she used to be.
So it’s like your saying that girls are copying you..but your not even keeping up.
The interviewer goes on to say: I would never disrespect Kim by talking down on what she’s doing. One thing I know for sure is to never count her out.” But I also expressed a hope for things to be patched up between the two and I thanked her for taking the time to message me. I didn’t recieve a positive response to any of my compliments or positive words but instead she replied, “It means more to you then it does to me. She’s a joke..point blank.” To which I couldn’t help but reply, “Azealia you can’t say that when not long before that you were singing her praises. That’s out of anger but anywho can’t wait to hear the Fantasea Mixtape.” Azealia would quickly come back with a reasonable explanation citing, “I’m sure you thought a guy was cute from afar only to get closer and realize he’s actually an idiot. That’s what happened.
The interview continues with:
Azealia revealed that the track she intended to put Lil’ Kim on was “Van Vogue” which was apart of the T by Alexander Wang Campaign. Azealia admitted that Alexander Wang was considering putting Lil’ Kim on the billboard with her because she explained how Ill the collab could be.
Hailing more insults Lil’ Kims way She adds, “Like Lil’ Kim on a billoard in Soho?? POPPIN idea right? But nooo she’d rather tour dingy clubs and keep her pride. So now everytime she says something about me, I’m going to very kindly remind her to get her **** together”.
Then on Kim’s feud with former schoolmate Nicki, she said:
She did the same thing to Nick..She doesn’t want to be friendly. She wants someone to kiss her ass.

Kim on Van Vogue? Interesting.
Not surprised that Kim didn't like it, then.

Yet she's deleting her Twitter and still struggling to put out a legit album.
I like Azealia, but she is beyond cocky and annoying. And the NERVE of her to point out that Kim starts beefs when it was really her who decided to post what happened between her and Kim out in the open, and she shaded Nicki before and started unnecessary beef with Iggy. She's the one that needs to get HER **** together. The hood and the general public already accepted Kim, has-been or not.

It sucks that it took Azealia's comments to have some of you realize how truly bitter Kim is. However, I also think there is tension between Nicki and Azealia and I'm sure we might see something come out of that. The fact that they are all women though plays a big part in all of the problems. Which is unfortunate for hip-hop.

Azealia never dragged Nicki. She shaded her for the "Stupid Hoe" video and told Nicki that everything she's doing right now, she's already done in the past. And by "she", I mean Nicki. Azealia never said that she's better than her or anything. She just wants more from the biggest female hip-hop artist of the moment.
And as for Kim, she didn't lie. Even though I love Kim, she does tend to backstab like that. She'll praise a new artist, and then attack them once they start getting famous. And honestly, I'm glad Kim wasn't on "Van Vogue". It would have been a mess. I hope they collaborate in the future, though.

Back in December, Azealia banks dragged Nicki for Kim, on Twitter. Can't find the tweets because her page is deleted .
Talking about how Nicki needs to pay homage and respect to Kim, and Romans Revenge being the best track on Pink Friday shows Kim's impact. Ask any TM member on twitter.

"Shade," "drag," whatever. She spoke against Nicki's work.
Azealia is a cocky peasant that talks a lot of **** herself. She needs to humble herself now if she ever wants a real career. She sounds as bitter as Kim does.

It's called criticism. I don't know why artists aren't allowed to criticize other artists.
And if we're going to talk about speaking against somebody's work and talking ****, let's review Nicki's Kimberly songs.

Mess. I definitely feel her resentment re: Kim, but you can really tell her age through her comments.

Struggling? She's recording with the best producers in the best studio all over the world. Just because recording an album takes time doesn't mean she's struggling. The fact that they ended up with enough material for a mixtape AND an album says the opposite of struggling for me.
Unless there's a news story you have that I don't, I'm not sure what you mean.
