I googled her and apparently there's video footage of her panicking in an elevator.
This was before they found her:
Quote:
A Canadian woman who had mysteriously gone missing in Los Angeles was last seen acting strangely in an elevator at Hotel Cecil, a place known for its dark history of murders and legendary hauntings.
STOMPer A.N. who shared a news report on the incident said:
"Missing Canadian... strange."
Elisa Lam, 21, was supposedly en route from her Vancouver home to California, but had ended up in Hotel Cecil on Jan 26 for an unknown reason, according to a Bestresortasia report.
A video captured by an elevator security camera at Hotel Cecil on Jan 31 shows the woman of Chinese descent behaving strangely.
After entering the elevator, Lam begins frantically poking multiple floor buttons while peeking her head out continuously as if looking for someone.
She also presses into one of the elevator corners as if hiding at one point, and then steps out again, appearing to be talking to someone and gesturing with her hands.
"I suppose I could choose to analyze the video logically and assume it is capturing the psychotic or drug-induced paranoia of an unbalanced woman who has gone missing, but I can't help but entertain the spooky fascination that she is in fact talking to something that cannot appear on the camera," writes the author of the report.
Hotel Cecil had been home to serial killers such as Richard Ramirez the 'Night Stalker' who was convicted of killing 14 people, as well as Jack Unterweger who committed suicide after being convicted for several murders involving prostitutes.
Goldie Osgood, known as the 'pigeon lady of Perishing Square' who was choked to death in her room in 1964 also adds to the hotel's seedy past. Her case remains unsolved.
