This tournament is based on one of the most popular card games UNO.
How to play UNO
The aim of the game is to be the first player to score 500 points.
To start a hand, seven cards are dealt out to each player, and the top card of the deck is flipped over and set aside to begin the discard pile. The player must do one of the following:
► play a card matching the discard in color or number
► play an Action or Wild card
► draw the top card of the deck
A player who plays the next-to-last card must call "UNO" as a warning to the others. The first player to get rid of his/her last card wins the hand and scores points.
Rules
This card game has been turned into an ATRL game with its own rules, but everything is the same, basically.
At the beginning of the tournament, each player gets seven cards (0 to 9 in colors of yellow, red, green or/and blue) via PM. (Please make sure your inbox is not full.) Each round, one card (as discard) will be posted by me in this thread. It can be any of the numbers in any of the colors. If you have a card in your hand that matches my card in color or/and number, you're allowed to post it in the thread. (For example: A Yellow 5 is posted. You can use one of the following cards: any number in yellow, 5 in any color.) It doesn't matter what the other players post, you have to follow the color or number of my card. However, you can choose not to play any of your cards, even though you have a match - you can keep it for another round. You'll have 24 hours to complete a round. If you don't have any matching card, you'll have to wait for next round. The game might look complicated at first read, but it's simpler than you think.
Special Cards
Special cards always bring some fun because they will alter the normal game play and help you to get closer to the win. Action and Wild cards will be obtained in bonus rounds. I'll tell more about them later.
Action Cards
Action cards exist in all of the colors.
SKIP
The round immediately ends.
DRAW TWO
A player draws
two cards.
REVERSE
It switches direction of play.
Wild Cards
Wild cards can be played on any card anytime.
WILD
It announces next color
to be matched.
WILD DRAW FOUR
It announces next color
to be matched and
a player draws
four cards.
When you have one card left, you must yell "UNO!" after putting down your second-last card. Failure to do this results in you having to pick two cards. There is no elimination. The first player to get rid of all his/her cards will be the winner of the tournament.
Main rounds will be posted at random times.
Bonus rounds will be announced in advance and some of them will be live.
