Sony is predicting first-week CD sales of 400,000 which is similar to debut-week sales of "This Is It," which sold 373,000 units in its first week.

I predict 225k-275k. I know a couple MJ fans who say they wont support the album and I think there are a lot like them.

This is a true wild card. There's a lot of skepticism surrounding the project, so it could be as low as 200k, but since this is Michael Jackson it could be as high as 400k.

I think the skepticism will win out. 200-300k. But I honestly don't know.

No way does this do below 200k. Thriller 25 was just a re-release and even that opened with 170k (and that's when he was still alive).

Some of the songs aren't even Michael singing. I hope this flops! That said, I hope Hold My Hand becomes a hit for the King Of Pop.
