ATRL's Holy Trinity: Renewal ▲
Introduction
Welcome back to the fifth season of ATRL's Holy Trinity! You will not play any other game like this on ATRL. Holy Trinity combines strategy and social play with the fun creativity needed for your entries.
Last season, there was a lot of drama and messiness. Many people dropped out or felt bitter towards other contestants, and unlike Season 3, it didn't seem like many contestants made new friendships or had a fulfilling experience as a group. This season is designed to, while keeping the game a competition, foster a more positive feeling. There are no backstabbing twists or sabotaging powers. (If you want to create alliances or blindside people, that's on your own time!)
How To Play
Every round, I'll post a challenge. They are built upon a general theme for the contestant to follow. Based on these challenges, each contestant must create a trinity – three songs that work together to represent the challenge. These interpretations should be creative, but not over our heads. All entries will be posted in the thread (not in quotes if it matters for your formatting).
The judges will listen to and read your entries, give short comments and then rank your entries from best to worst. The three contestants with the highest rankings make up the Golden Trinity, and the three contestants with the lowest rankings make up the Flop Trinity. The Golden Trinity then decides which contestants in the Flop Trinity to eliminate permanently from the game. A contestant can go from being in the Golden Trinity one round to being in the Flop Trinity immediately afterwards; consistently staying out of the Flop Trinity is vital.

Working to the end of the game, the final 5 players will participate in a massive finale to decide their final ranks, and the top 3 contestants overall will combine and join forces in ATRL's Holy Trinity. The road to success, however, isn't always that simple. Do you have what it takes to be a part of ATRL's Holy Trinity?
New Additions
New additions this season are not as crazy as last season but will still spice things up!
Let's start with the simplest new addition: the Banned Artist list. While the list itself is not a new list, I'm changing the threshold: if a singer/band/artist is used five times in the game, they are banned from any further use. However, once the Banned Artist list reaches 15 artists, it will be reset. I'll try to keep the Banned Artist list updated in the OP at all times!
The next new addition is partnering! Any round you want, you can partner up with another contestant and create one joint entry. In rankings, you'll be tied and together no matter what, even if it makes there be four people in the Golden/Flop trinities. The only "catch" (and it's not really a catch) is that you can't work with each other again. I'm sure this sounds like a great deal but also consider the fact that it will take more effort to create an entry with another person. Be aware of that if you ever choose this option!
The last new addition, and possibly the most important, is types. After sign-ups close, I will announce everyone's type. The four types are Seeds, Sprouts, Blossoms and Fruits. While these types do not work together, they all have something in common. Every round, each type will have a type constraint, a specific constraint that round for all people with that type. For example, maybe one round all the Seeds can't use songs with the letter "o" in the title.

I know this is all a lot of information to take in at once. Trust that you'll learn the ropes as you go own! Use this advice to help you make important decisions in the game.

Try not to use the immediately-expected songs. Interpret challenges in unique ways. Surprise us, in a good way! Be unique like the special snowflake you are(?).
T H I N K S T R A T E G I C A L L Y
When you're in the Golden Trinity, you can eliminate anyone you want in the Flop Trinity, and in some cases beyond just that. Develop stratagem and create allies. Remember your fellow contestants are the ones ultimately deciding who gets eliminated every round.

You might love an idea, but is it going to work out? Is it a risk that won't pay off? Are you just choosing a song because you love it and not because it's the best fit? Keep your best wits with you as you proceed.

Yeah, I was a lot more active in the Games forum back when I was new to ATRL. I've always thought that this looked like fun, though, and I'm glad I finally managed to get in before it filled up!
