MusicTalker's 2013 Elite: The Top 100 Songs of the Year
All I have to say about this masterpiece is that it's easily one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I've wanted a Bey & Drake collaboration for years, and this song is everything I wanted & more. I nearly had a heart attack when I first saw (feat. Drake) on the tracklist, right after I nearly had a panic attack that Bey had just released a new album to iTunes with no warning. The intro to the song, which is perfect, transitions into a more perfect, but darker-sounding second part, where Bey & Drake singing about "getting carried away", & "being mine, all mine". They're both vocally vulnerable and this is refreshing from two of the most amazing artists in the industry today. Mine has the magic "40 touch" in the production that makes so many of Drake's songs amazing, but Bey adds her own artistic spin. Her self-titled album is the artistic peak of her career thus far, and this is the strongest highlight of an album full of her strongest work.
