About the release date and theme of the album:
Quote:
She teased: "I've just got back from Miami where I was enjoying a friend's wedding and done a few things out there which I can't share as yet... but all in good time."
The singer added: "The second album is coming along nicely and I can't wait for you all to hear the music!

The 22-year-old is hopeful that her second album will be released shortly, as she added: "It makes me so happy being in the studio creating and writing for you all, with amazing producers and songwriters. It shouldn't be too long now till it is done."

It’s got to be sexy. So I’m going to get a lot fiercer and sexier. We’re just getting down and dirty with the next album. I’m going to take a lot more risks and it’s going to be insane." She also hinted at any collaborations on the LP, "I can’t say too much because my management will kill me if I let loose. But I have a special duet planned. I have the ideas, the collaborations in my mind - it’s all locked up in my head.

On how she met the artist in question, she confessed: "I know a writer called Autumn, who is really good friends with this artist. At 6am she said to me: 'Do you want to go on to another session?' I said: 'Cool, let's go, I'm here to work.'

Burke was previously confirmed to be releasing her second studio album through a joint deal between Syco and RCA, but it is now thought that she will be solely an RCA artist.
Numerous online sources claim that the departure was a mutual decision by both parties and Burke will now be signed to the same record company which currently looks after acts including Beyoncé and Alicia Keys.
Seeming to confirm the move on Twitter, the singer's brother David Burke said: "Really happy Alexandra has officially moved RCA records for new album era. Fingers crossed for progression and improved efficiency (sic.)

“This album is quite uptempo. All my singles apart from ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘The Silence’ have been up-tempo. It’s just who I am. I love to dance.
“This album is gonna be a lot sexier. I’ve taken loads of risks with it and I’m the executive producer too. With the first album when songs were being mixed, Simon was the one who picked the track listing. But with this one, I haven’t let anything go past these ears. I approve everything.
“The first single is in the mix. I’m yet to decide which one of two songs it will be. One’s a duet and one’s not. When they’re both mixed I’ll have to see which one sounds amazing in my car because that’s the best way to test it. In a couple of weeks it will be on the radio. The album is now completely finished. It’s got a couple of names at the moment, but we haven’t done the track listing yet.”
I suggest the name ‘The Beast’. After all, this is the nickname Alex has given to her stage persona and the fans are lapping it up, despite somewhat unflattering connotations.
“I don’t care” she laughs, “I’ll be that beauty and that beast babe. I call my fans the beasties and they love it. They call me Mama Beast.”
The Beast certainly means business when it comes to pleasing fans. And that’s why she’s keen to let me know of her plans for world domination, by touring and maybe one day teaming up with her idol, Beyonce.
“I’m in the process of planning my tour. There’s definitely going to be a tour next year. I really wanted to open Beyonce’s last tour for her but my first album wasn’t ready at the time. You never know though, one day we might do a duet. God willing.
“I can’t wait to go to the States next year and hopefully do loads of promo. My biggest dream is to break the States.”

Apparently, one song is produced and written by Michael Woods, who is responsible for Example's Changed The Way You Kiss Me. He co-wrote the song with Marlene Strand and Gavin Jones. It could be very well his song too, that got chosen as the first single. He has described the song as "underground" and "clubby".

Its not out until 2012, and the single wont be here until closer to the end of the year, but the good news is that she is rid of Syco Though RCA (her new label) isn't much better

I still hope for a November 2011 release. The album is done. She shouldn't be playing this time around and deliver.
RCA. One thing I know for sure. That label won't help her getting recognition in the US. They handle their artists so poorly, yet they have the best artists signed on their label.
I hope "If This Ain't Love" makes the cut on her new album.

Well come to think of it, I don't know anything about RCA. But surely it can't be worse than SyCo?

Right? If Syco managed to destroy The Silence, imagine what RCA will be like? :deadbaana:
I hope its released November too, I dont see why RCA dont want her to have XFactor to launch it

Producers and Songwriters: (so far)
Simon Cowell (I really don't know if and how he'll be involved in this project)
RedOne (prob. executive)
Bruno Mars
StarGate
Rico Love (prob. executive)
Autumn Rowe
Ne-Yo
Ina Wroldsen
Fraser T. Smith (rumor)
Sandy Vee (rumor)
That's just from the top of my head. She really knows how to keep them secret, because there are not many news about with whom she worked.

Yeah, I thought so. She was even said to perform some new songs on the summer dates of her All Night Long Tour. The new single is said to be played on radio at the end of August, with a release in October probably. But there is nothing official yet, so I'm kinda confused.

I want a Bruno collab! It would introduce her to the US very well...even though I don't like Bruno that much.
