P4K: “Formation” Red Lobster Line Origin Story Revealed
Mike WiLL Made-It explains that the line was originally about Margiela
Today, Red Bull Music Academy shared a lengthy interview with Mike WiLL Made-It, where he revealed even more secrets behind his and Rae Sremmurd’s contributions to Beyoncé’s Lemonade track “Formation.”
In the same Coachella session, Jxmmi came up with “If you **** me good, I’ll take your ass to Margiela.” Later, Mike WiLL gave the recordings to Beyoncé, who turned it into her now-iconic lyric, “If you **** me good, I’ll take your ass to Red Lobster.” Mike WiLL clarifies that while the song was a “collaborative effort between me, Pluss, Sremm, and her,” Beyoncé “wrote both of her verses and she got inspired by what Jxmmi said.” Watch the full interview below.

I'm listening to him talk about her timing of shooting the video/rehearsing for the SB and everything the same week this is interesting. And telling about Miley calling him high af after the SB performance.
But what he said about being in a room full of billionaires betting millions watching the SB game with Jimmy Iovine is crazy. The black Bill Gates line is very relevant to what he said he felt about being in that room. Very interesting.
Pretty much. It doesn't matter how many people describe the music creation process of working with Bey and how she's involved it'll still be the same song and dance from certain types.
Yaass, she wrote the most important lyrics, her verses!
Y'all haters corny with that Illuminati mess
Paparazzi, catch my fly and my cocky fresh
I'm so reckless when I rock my Givenchy dress (stylin')
I'm so possessive so I rock his Roc necklaces
My daddy Alabama, momma Louisiana
You mix that ***** with that Creole, make a Texas BAMA!
I like my baby hair with baby hair and afros
I like my ***** nose with Jackson Five nostrils
Earned all this money, but they never take the country out me
I got hot sauce in my bag, swag
Okay so she didn't come up with the most memorable part of the song, work.
Did you not read it? She changed it to Red Lobster, it was Margiela. No one would have even noticed that line if she hadn't changed it to Red Lobster. Only fashion heads know what Margiela is.
