JUSTICE Crew are set for a stellar career launch in the US courtesy of industry powerbroker Pitbull.
The American music entrepreneur and artist has signed the dance troupe turned pop stars to release their chart-topping single Boom Boom in the US.
In a bizarre twist, Pitbull had rejected the song for his own album which made it available for Justice Crew to record it.
Pitbull heard Justice Crew's hit single "Boom Boom" (written by Jay Sean) shortly after arriving in Australia for his recent Planet Pit tour and recognised the song.
When he later visited the Sony headquarters and spied the group's posters plastered all over the offices and watched the video which showcases the Crew's awesome dancing skills, he and his management were impressed.
They booked them to open his Sydney concert with Boom Boom.
And then they signed Justice Crew to Pitbull's 305 label, a joint venture with historic US imprint RCA.
Quote:
"When the song was pitched to Pitbull, he didn't think it was the right time for him to do it but we caught wind of the song and gave it a go," the Crew's Emmanuel Rodriguez said.
"Now they have responded to it so quickly and they actually think it's going to be a massive hit there."
