Billboard Hot 100 Singles (October 27-November 3, 2011)
Over on the Digital Songs chart this week, we've got a new No. 1, as Rihanna's "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, jumps 3-1 with 231,000 (up 33%). It's the 11th No. 1 on the Digital Songs chart for Rihanna and bodes well for where she might land on the overall Billboard Hot 100 singles chart when it is released later today.
LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" holds at No. 2 (206,000; up 1%) while Adele's "Someone Like You" falls 1-3 (173,000; down 16%).
Drake's "Make Me Proud" (featuring Nicki Minaj) flies 60-4 with 166,000 sold after its first full of sales were registered (up 607%). It debuted last week with only one day's worth of sales (Oct. 16). Right below him is Justin Bieber's new holiday single, "Mistletoe," which debuts at No. 5 with 164,000.
Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" drifts 4-6 (152,000; down 13%), Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" (featuring Christina Aguilera) falls 5-7 (141,000; down 15%) and David Guetta's "Without You" (featuring Usher) is steady at No. 8 (125,000; down 3%). Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts" (featuring Adam Levine) slides 7-9 (125,000; down 8%) while Coldplay's "Paradise" zooms 18-10 with 109,000 (up 100%).
Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Oct. 23) totaled 4.84 million units, down 7% compared to the sum last week (5.22 million) and down 7% compared to the comparable sales week of 2010 (5.17 million). Year to date album sales stand at 243.68 million, up 3% compared to the same total at this point last year (236.14 million). It is the 22nd week in a row where year-to-date album volume is greater than the same time in the prior year.
Digital track sales this past week totaled 20.48 million downloads, down 4% compared to last week (21.34 million) and up 10% stacked next to the comparable week of 2010 (18.58 million). Year to date track sales are at 1.01 billion, up 10% compared to the same total at this point last year (918.25 million).
