IF SOMEONE HAD A GUN HELD IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE AND ASKED YOU IF YOU BELIEVED IN GOD, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
SAY NO AND FEEL ASHAMED THE REST OF YOUR LIFE? OR SAY YES, I DO, AND DIE STANDING UP FOR GOD? IF YOU WOULD SAY YES, PASS THIS ON.
Funny, isn't it?
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the God says.
Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the God says. (Or is it scary?)
Funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also "believes" in God).
Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.
Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me. (Are you thinking?)
Honestly, I have to say, the first part of that post makes me angry, not because of what it's actually saying, but because of what it's implying, that I would be guilt-ridden and ashamed for the rest of my life if I said no to the "do you believe in God" question if I had a gun to my face. If I had someone put a gun to my face, and that someone asked me if I believed in God or not, and I said no, I don't think I would feel ashamed for the rest of my life. I would feel happy to be freaking alive.
But yeah, to answer your question, no, I don't love God, for I don't believe in such a thing as a higher power, but I do respect a lot of people who do believe in a higher power, unless they are the "Jesus freak" type, the type that constantly preaches and shoves their beliefs down our throats. Those people are people that I just can't respect, under any circumstances.
Remember, I'm not saying that you don't have the right to believe. I mean, if you love God and want to tell us about it by posting something like this, by all means, go on ahead. That's your business, and I definitely can't stop you from believing in what you want to believe in, nor would I try to. All I'm saying is that it's not going to change the minds of those who don't believe in a higher power.
Wait wait wait. Hold on a second. I just said that the first part of what you posted angered me because of what it implied. I'm not mad at you for what you posted or the fact that you posted it.
I'm actually quite calm. I know that you can't see that, but I really am. So then, why would I need to "take it easy"?
this is not meant to be a bible school...and btw, i prefer to say i not love god, because your own life is what matters, especially when i not believe in heaven everlasting
Have you guys seen Shrek 3 yet? Remember when they are at the tea table and the bad guys are wondering where Shrek is? They ask Pinochhico (spelling? ) since he can't lie.
I would answer my question to that the same way he did. In the confusion of my answer, I would then punch the guner in the stomach and grab the gun out of his hands .
I wonder if I can find that line in the movie. And another thread? Why?
