Welcome to my (late) Best Of 2011!
Hello! I know I'm a little late. Unfourtunately, when the "Best Of" time came on, I was very busy with my final exams and tests and I did not have time to finish it, actually I barely started it.
Since I'm on my holidays and I have a lot of free time, I decided to do it now (with permition) and Vato (ATRL Moderator) will transfer the thread to the Best Of area once it opens again!
In this thread, I will be presenting you my favorite songs, videos, choreographies, albums and movies from last year. I'm actually glad I'm doing it now, since I got to see some more movies, listen to some more songs, so my list gets a little more completed.
I'm not looking for a lot of comments, I'm expecting like two or three comments per update, to be honest. I just love Best Ofs and since I had no time, now that I do, I can actually give it time and "love" (yes... love, I really love doing this), so are you ready? You better be because tomorrow we'll start!
Here's the lists you will be watching during this best of:
- Top 10 Movies Of 2011
- Top 15 Albums Of 2011
- Top 15 Choreographies Of 2011
- Top 100 Singles Of 2011
- Top 50 Videos Of 2011
This is not the order I will be presenting to you the lists, just the topics.
I must say, and you probably know, doing this type of lists take time and a lot of work and dedication, I tried to be as fair as possible with me and not biased at all, this is my real opinion, I had in consideration everything, of course much of you are expecting Britney or Shakira to own this, I won't lie they are forces of nature in my charts, but I put my all into this list. This is my REAL taste.
Here we go!

Pedro's Best Of 2011 [Top 10 Movies]
Welcome to my Best Of 2011!
Doing this type of lists take time and a lot of work and dedication, I tried to be as fair as possible with myself.
Today I will be presenting to you my...
Top 10 Movies Of 2011! Here We Go!
I have to be honest, last year I didn't really go to the cinema that often or download that much movies. Money, patiente and interest were lacking and I let it go. Luckily, I got to see some more 2011 movies this year and I completed my list a little more (initially I only had like five movies).
This top 10 was a little hard to do, I was very unsure about the places but I think this is the right top with the right choices.
Movie Title: Horrible Bosses
Genre: Comedy
Main Actors: Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston.
Director: Seth Gordon
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 7,0 [7]
REVIEW
I remember I gave great laughs in the cinema while watching this movie. It has a nice storyline and great funny actors, I found it cheesy sometimes, but good enough. This movie blocked Bad Teacher to enter the Top 10, I find them a little similar and I prefered this one. I must say I loved Aniston's character, how sexual was she! I think it's a good movie with a lot of funny parts! Is your boss that mean too?
Movie Title: Monte Carlo
Genre: Adventure
Main Actors: Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy
Director: Thomas Bezucha
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 5,4 [7]
REVIEW
This one I downloaded and watched. I started loving Selena sometime ago and this movie made me like her more as an actress, eventhough she ain't the best. I was expecting an amazing movie since I already knew part of the story. It wasn't a terrible movie, of course but it wasn't nothing new, I liked to see Leighton Meester too, love her! Nice movie! By the way, Selena's british accent is a little messy.
Movie Title: Burlesque
Genre: Musical
Main Actors: Cher, Christina Aguilera and Alan *******
Director: Steve Antin
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 6,2 [8]
REVIEW
This movie is from 2010, but I only watched it in 2011 since it premiered December 30th in Portugal, by that time I had my Best Movies Of 2010 already wrapped. Christina surprised me a lot, she did great and the guy from the movie is gorgeous! I loved the songs and really, Christina did great. The concept of the movie was a bit cheesy but I enjoyed it. Smash, the tv show, reminds me a little of it!
Movie Title: The Tourist
Genre: Action
Main Actors: Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie and Paul Bettany
Director: Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 5,9 [7]
REVIEW
Eventhough my rate for this movie is lower than Burlesque I had in consideration the movie, the process it had to go to be done and it looked like The Tourist was a little more worked than Burlesque, nevertheless I was very disappointed with this movie. I found it very cheesy and of course Angelina always gets me but I didn't really want that lame ending. God it makes me wanna drop it.
Movie Title: Cowboys & Aliens
Genre: Action
Main Actors: Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde
Director: Jon Favreau
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 6,2 [8]
REVIEW
I really enjoyed this film. I think it was very interesting and very cool. I loved the concept and the actors, I didn't quite enjoy the ending but well at least it was a happy ending, since the humans were saved! Loved the special effects as well!
Movie Title: Shakira: Live From Paris
Genre: Live Concert
Main Actors: Shakira
Director: Nick Wickham
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 6,6 [10]
REVIEW
Of course I'm not considering this a movie or so what, but I saw it in the cinema so I really had to say something about this. It was so special. It was the first time I saw Shakira in the cinema, the first time I watched a concert in the cinema, the first time I screamed in the cinema and the first time I danced/jumped in. The energy I felt and the emotion I felt watching this was so amazing, so I really had to comment on it. Epic Live DVD!
Movie Title: Tangled
Genre: Animation
Main Actors: Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy
Director: Nathan Greno, Byron Howard
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 7,8 [8]
REVIEW
I'm a cartoon freak, I love cartoon movies and this one was a surprise! It was the first time I took my sister to the cinema only with me. I loved the story and the characters, all so modern. Great, great movie!
Movie Title: Cars 2
Genre: Animation
Main Actors: Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy and Michael Caine
Director: John Lasseter, Brad Lewis
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 6,4 [9]
REVIEW
Another movie I completely loved! I think the first one is better, but this one was great, they made a cartoon movie so dramatic and made me want to jump in and stop things from happening, luckily we had a happy ending! Hope Cars 3 is yet to come!
Movie Title: Colombiana
Genre: Action
Main Actors: Zoe Saldana, Michael Vartan and Callum Blue
Director: Olivier Megaton
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 6,2 [9]
REVIEW
When I got off the cinema room, I said: "The only person I'd be happy with replacing Jolie on Tomb Raider would be Zoe!", and I still saying that, well maybe Milla would do fine too, but anyway! I loved the movie and the name reminded me of Shakira, she should've done the movie ahaha! I'm kidding, Zoe did great and the story was amazing. I love when a girl is a badass.
Movie Title: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Genre: Action
Main Actors: Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Jared Harris
Director: Guy Ritchie
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 7,5 [9]
REVIEW
What I love the most about Sherlock Holmes movies is that it goes by logic you really need to catch every part and can't miss a thing or you lose yourself, it shows how complex it is! I completely love this movie and seriously Robert Downey Jr is so hawt! I really hope that "The End?" is real and it is NOT the end! I need more of this!
Movie Title: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Genre: Fantasy
Main Actors: Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint
Director: David Yates
IMDb Rate [My Rate]: 8,1 [10]
REVIEW
What other movie could possibly top my, or any other, Top Movies 2011 countdown? Of course it has and needs to be Harry Potter's final movie. While watching this in the cinema, on its debut day, I only was thinking to myself: "ok... this is it, this is the end of the movie that made my life". I couldn't believe it was coming to an end... and I still can't, I only hope in some way this can be continued, even if only by books! This is just the best thing that has ever happened to cinema, to books, to everything! I'm serious when I say Harry Potter made my life, it is such a big part of me, and I'll watch all the movies time after time without being sick of it! .

Harry Potter's the only one I've seen.
I've heard great things in general about the other movies though.
Also, I like the presentation style.
