This week's chart is all about the new. New number one, tons of debuts, and new songs are rising very quickly. Out with the old, in with the new. Everybody is celebrating Madonna as she knocks off The Black Eyed Peas to take the number one spot. Madonna is no stranger to the number one position of this chart. "Celebration" becomes her 18th number one the chart. An amazing feat for any artist. Her first number one was "I'll Remember" is 1994, and her previous number one was "4 Minutes (feat. Justin Timberlake and Timbaland)" in 2008. Shakira fans are banding together. "She Wolf" spends another week at number two, but, if it weren't for Madonna, it would've been number one for kicking off The Black Eyed Peas. Shakira is still gaining points, but Madonna has a strong lead. Will "She Wolf" become a number two hit? She has only hit number one twice on this chart, with her last being "Hips Don't Lie (feat. Wyclef Jean)" in 2006. The Black Eyed Peas finally lose their reign at number one. "I Gotta Feeling" drops to number three after being number one for an amazing seven weeks! The band has done amazingly well with their new era as previous single, "Boom Boom Pow," became their first number one on the chart spending five weeks at number one. The band also has a debut this week with the new single, "Meet Me Halfway."
This week's largest point gain went to Muse's "Uprising," which it following suit of its title. It moves up to number four from last week's number 18. This week's largest chart move is Friendly Fires' "Kiss of Life," which moved up from number 100 to number 35. The highest debut comes from Whitney Houston's "Million Dollar Baby," which debuts at number 37.
