Britney has been working hard on her new album since last year, and it’s expected to be released sometime before the end of 2013. Britney has been spotted sneaking into recording studios and dance rehearsals in preparation for the project, and details about who is working with the pop star have been emerging! In the build up to the hotly anticipated follow-up to Femme Fatale, we’re giving you 8 things you can expect from Britney’s 8th studio album!
1. Executive Producer – Will.i.am
Will.i.am is the confirmed executive producer of Britney’s 8th album. Fans are split about this decision because of Will.i.am’s hit and miss ratio. Big Fat Bass was a messy miss and Scream and Shout was an amazing hit. On the bright side, Will.i.am has said he wants to take Britney in a more personal direction, which is nice to hear as her music has been devoid of personality and heart in recent years. Lets just hope he doesn’t appear on any features.
2. Co-Producer Dev Hynes
It’s been reported that hit-maker Dev Hynes is co-producing Britney’s new album, marking his first time working with the star. He produced the addictive Solange Knowles hit ‘Losing You’ and his credits also include production for Florence and the Machine and Diana Vickers. If Hynes can campture the flavour and fun of Losing You and combine is with Britney’s trademark vocals, we could have a hit on our hands.
3. Producer – William Orbit
Madonna hit-maker, William Orbit has confirmed he is producing some songs for the new album. The amazing producer produced the majority of Madonna’s hit album, Ray of Light and he produced songs for her newest album MDNA. How have Britney and William Orbit never worked together before? If Orbit can craft a hit for Britney, it could be music magic!
4. Writer/Producer – Naughty Boy
Naughty Boy is the new talented producer/singer song-writer on the block and he’s a perfect match for Britney! He’s recently launched his own music career, but has spent the last few years working with Emlie Sandé, Leona Lewis, JLS, Cheryl Cole and Jennifer Hudson.
In a recent interview, Naughty Boy said: “Britney Spears might be coming soon. William Orbit who’s producing some [of her new album], they’re coming down to the studio, him and Britney to work together with me. It sounds really good. I’ve always wanted to work with her but I’d love to do something a bit different.” This could be hot!
5. Producer – Danja
Danja produced 7 of the hits on Britney’s amazing album, Blackout. His innovate production carved the sound of the album which makes it legendary today. People have been willing Britney to work with Danja ever since, and there’s whispers that it might be happening for Album 8!
6. Writer – Claude Kelly
Claude Kelly has confirmed that he’s writing material for Britney’s new album. His previous Britney work includes the genuis Circus and the pop-slice Criminal. If Claude could give us something more like Circus, rather than Criminal, we’d be onto a winner! He said in an interview recently: “When I write for her, I kinda ignore the directions. I just write what I think is a great pop song, and I’ve been lucky that she’s taken it two albums now.”
7. Producer – Darkchild
Darkchild confirmed that he was working with Britney at the end of last year. He previously produced Britney’s cover of ‘I Love Rock n Roll’, and his other credits include Brandy, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, The Black Eyed Peas, Whitney Houston, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Lady Gaga and many more! With those credentials, he could be a good match for Britney in 2013. In a recent interview he said: “I was working with Britney actually at the end of the year. She had me come on X-Factor show and do something with her, so we’ll see what happens if we get a chance to work together.”
8. Writer – Max Martin
Max Martin and Britney go together like salt and pepper. Britney has worked with Max Martin more than anybody. He wrote her first ever hit ‘Baby One More Time’ as well as ‘You Drive Me Crazy’. He also wrote so many more of her hits, including ‘Opps…I did it again’, ‘Lucky’, ‘Overprotected’, ‘I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman’, ‘If You Seek Amy’, ’3′, ‘Hold It Against Me, ‘I Wanna Go’, ‘Till The World Ends’, ‘Inside Out’ and many more! There’s no doubt that he can craft Britney a hit, so will he be working on her new album? We hope so!
it's probably gonna be so bittersweet for sky ferreira tho, her songs she wrote for britney were all turned down and now the producer of her biggest song is working with her lol
But in before bottoms start complaining about will.i.am again.
Album: Kelis - Flesh Tone
Producer: will.i.am
Features/produces in ONE song:
Quote:
The executive producer is just responsible for business decisions, whereas the music producer produces the music. Even so, sometimes the executive producer is supposed to substantiate the creative visions of featured musicians by managing the timetable including the employment of sound engineers or session musicians
I really hope Bloodshy is apart of this, just for one song at least. They are more often than not the standout producers on any Britney record and have been since In The Zone.
I have high hopes for this album. I hope she also starts seeing vocal coaches and just completely slays. All Britney has to do to get media attention for the entire era is sing live. That itself would cause chaos.
