...would it destroy her singles career? Let's face it, BTW was not an album filled with obvious #1s, and the reason behind the BTW's singles success was hype and promo, so if Gaga kept on releasing BTW style albums, would she shift to become an albums artist already? Or do you think she'll bring out TF/FM style dance smashes for her next album to stay on top of the singles charts?

But she doesn't do the same thing over again. She likes changing...
shes changed it up every era so i don't expect her to continue on the same wavelength as BTW, nor do i expect her to try and emulate the sound of her past material
i read somewhere it will be more lyrically similar to "The Fame" album & especially "Dance in the Dark" with the sonic quality of TFM and the sophistication of BTW.

If her next album is like Born This Way I think her career would pull a Cyndi Lauper only with a much bigger touring presence and early cultural impact.
First era (the fame/the fame monster = she's so unusual) = huge success, acclaim, awards, classic singles
Second era (born this way = true colours) = maintains success but it is diminished, some singles flop
Third era = moderately successful album sales but overall is perceived as a major disappointment with most singles flopping

I think if the third era is anything like BTW, most radio stations will completely abandon her, but her album sales and touring presence will remain strong obviously. I hope she knows what she's doing though.
